Case study

Lead Generation Web App Development

Adamlead is a B2B contact data platform Stan is building and growing, positioned as a leaner, cheaper alternative to running Apollo, Hunter, and Crunchbase together. It narrows the field to one high-intent segment, companies that have just raised funding - and pairs each one with a verified contact and real open roles, so sales, marketing, and recruiting teams can reach out while the budget is still fresh.

Most contact databases sell breadth: tens of millions of records, most of which never match a given ICP. Adamlead sells recency instead. It tracks funding announcements continuously, enriches each funded company with open roles pulled from its own careers page, and ranks decision-makers by seniority with a confidence-scored, verified email attached. The pitch is that fresh funding is a stronger buying signal than firmographic scoring: a company that just closed a round is actively spending, hiring fast, and hasn't settled on a vendor yet. Adamlead surfaces that window before it closes, and does it as one combined record instead of three separate subscriptions (a funding database, a contact database, and an email verifier). In the current build, the platform tracks 541 funded companies and 644 verified contacts, refreshed weekly, with a public directory (browsable without an account) and a credit-based model: 25 free credits/month, paid plans starting at $29/mo. It runs on a credit system where revealing a contact costs one credit, but re-revealing the same contact is always free.

Scope of work

  • - Product strategy and positioning: narrowing from a broad "contact database" concept (Clientbase) to a focused niche around funded-startup leads (Adamlead)
  • - Full v1 build: public marketing site, Google OAuth sign-up, authenticated dashboard, contact and company tables with filters and saved searches
  • - Data pipeline: sourcing and continuously tracking funding announcements, enriching companies with open-roles data scraped from their own career pages
  • - In-house email verification engine: syntax/format checks, domain and MX record checks, disposable/role-account flagging, and a 0–100 confidence score per contact
  • - pSEO architecture: public, filterable /companies and /contacts directory pages designed to rank and drive organic signups
  • - Billing integration: full Dodo Payments setup as merchant of record, including checkout, plan tiers, and credit enforcement
  • - Design system: custom UI (tinted canvas, floating app shell, dense data tables, pastel status pills) built for a data-heavy product
  • - Free-tool funnel: standalone free email verifier tool as a top-of-funnel lead magnet
  • - Ongoing growth: content marketing (Medium articles, SEO, AEO), social distribution, and a live weekly-refreshed funding dataset used as the core marketing proof point on the homepage

Tools

- Next.js (App Router)- Supabase (database, auth, storage)- shadcn/ui + Tailwind (design system)- Dodo Payments (billing, merchant of record)- Google OAuth (authentication)
